Sahara Force India put a brave fight and brilliant performance to secure 6 championship points in order to make sure they hold onto the 6th position in the constructors championship that is almost looking certain with only 1race left in the season. Even Adrian Sutil has equaled Nick Heidfeld at 10th position in the drivers championship. One good run in the last race can ensure him 9th finish in the drivers standing ahead of both Vitaly Petrov and Nick Heidfeld. Paul Di Resta completed the race on an excellent 1stop strategy.
A strong battle and dangerous overtaking maneuvers were seen during the race between Button and Webber, Massa and Webber, Di Resta and Buemi, Alguersuari and Maldonado.
The double DRS Zone in Abu Dhabi is the perfect combination of intelligence and driver excellence. First zone allow driver behind to overtake, but soon after 2nd DRS Zone give a clear opportunity to the driver fallen behind to overtake again. As seen during the complete race during many occasions. Only if driver would have overtaken at 2nd zone, it would have given them a lap window. But still designed with equal intelligence, 2nd zone is very small to overtake. So, again it left on pure driving skills and some excellent driving maneuvers to pass the car in front.
Kamui Kobayashi is the last point scorer in the race came only 2sec behind Paul Di Resta. He was followed by his teammate Sergio Perez.
Williams put up a brave fight after starting from the last grid with Barrichello with his experience drove to excellence and bring Williams at 12th position while Maldonado only after facing a drive through penalty for ignoring blue flag finished 14th. Lot of drivers have ignored blue flags during the race that includes Maldonado for two times, Alguersuari and Senna. Senna also served a drive through penalty for ignoring the blue flags. Maldonado and Alguersuari blocking Massa and Webber while they were busy solving their own battle. Alguersurai has been slammed drive through penalty for the action. As it was after the race, so 20sec were added to his time and Maldonado who had already served drive through was given stop and go for again ignoring the blue flags. 30sec were added to his time. Although, there is no change in the final table due to the addition also.
Vitaly Petrov finished between the two Williams as Renault also struggle for pace and stability Bruno Senna finsihed 16th.
Jaime Alguersuari only finisher for Toro Rosso for 15th. Lotus again putting an excellent performance finished ahead of Virgin and HRT sole survivors Timo Glock and Vitantonio Liuzzi.
