The Official Watch Maker of Formula 1, Hublot in a gesture of support to Kids Earth Fund unveiled the all new 'F1 King Power Sukuka Watch' at the iconic Suzuka Circuit on Friday. KEF are working towards establishing their 12th home base in Watari, Japan, which was affected by March’s earthquake and tsunami. The home will be a new foothold for further KEF activities to support more children living in the Tohoku area of northern Japan. |

In February, Hublot had created the 'King Power F1 India Watch' for the Indian Grand Prix. Next year, Hublot plans to create a single $5 million diamond watch. Ms Harumi Torii, founder of KEF, and Ms Ai Tominaga, a KEF adviser and a famous fashion model, were at Friday’s launch as partners for the charity. Jang Geun Seok, a South Korean actor and singer, who is a fan of Hublot and Formula One, also appeared as a surprise guest to support the auction. Aside from some case and color cosmetic differences, this King Power F1 India watch is not different than other King Power F1 watches. The case will be in 18k rose gold with a ceramic “brake disc” bezel. Inside the watch is an automatic Hublot chronograph movement (HUB4100) with nifty looking chronograph pushers that feel like buttons pulled from race cars. The strap is made of fire-retardant Nomex, and has three rows of stitching in orange, white, and green represent the colors of the India flag. These colors are carried over to the elements on the dial and case. A reminder that the watch is for India is seen with the country name printed in the subsidiary seconds dial. The large watch will be 48mm wide and limited to just 200 pieces. |

The F1 King Power Suzuka is made from an array of high-tech materials directly inspired by Formula One racing, such as a ceramic bezel with a circular-grained satin finish adorned with multiple holes to represent a high-performance brake disc, a strap made from rubber and Nomex, a synthetic fibre developed by Dupont De Nemours and used to make the race suits worn by F1 drivers.
